Ovbij̼sàs Se (/ˈovbij̼/ /səs/ [race (competition); marathon] [wet; damp; moist]) is a subtropical Town located in Spellbarrow Dutchy, Tarnàg Provence, within the Dalandic Empire.

The name Ovbij̼sàs Se is derived from the Tauric language, as Ovbij̼sàs Se was founded by Tsèshê Cadwards, who was culturaly Tauric.

Climate

Ovbij̼sàs Se has a yearly average temperature of 29°C (84°F), with its average temperature during the summer being a hot 33°C (91°F) and its average temperature during the winter being a warm 26°C (78°F). Ovbij̼sàs Se was founded durring the late 17th century in early spring of the year 1653, by Tsèshê Cadwards. The establishment of Ovbij̼sàs Se was plagued by a lack of willing colonists. After attempts to pay people to resettle failed Tsèshê Cadwards struck deals with nearby nations and communities to establish Ovbij̼sàs Se as a prison colony.

Ovbij̼sàs Se was built using the conventions of Tauric durring the late 17th century. Naturaly, all settlmentss have their own look to them, and Ovbij̼sàs Se is no diffrent. The town's buildings feature timber framed wooden shiethed or brick construction, which gives form to a very formalized, rational, expence effishent arcatectural style based on strictly symmetrical designs which universaly feature pitched roofs, shutters, and the occasional column or pilaster for a decorative touch.

Ovbij̼sàs Se is is constructed arround a series of crampt packed earth mainstreets which form concentric circles, with smaller strait roads linking the circiles to each other at varrious points. The town emploies a series of defencive earthworks, spikes, and fences to provide some protection against wild beasts and smaller groups of intelegent foes. Ovbij̼sàs Se's minimaly adiquite are in an unremarkable state. To some, this is the ideal sate for defences to be in. In need of absoutly nothing, and ready to serve the town as needed.

The creature likely serves as a protector as well as a tyrant, so the locals may be content with the deal even if it doesn’t offer any further inducement or aid.

Ovbij̼sàs Se's bank was built using a different architectural style from the rest of the town. The style used is characterized by order, symmetry, formal design, grandiosity, and elaborate ornamentation. Architectural characteristics include balustrades, balconies, columns, cornices, pilasters, and triangular pediments. Stone exteriors are massive and grandiose in their symmetry; interiors are typically polished and lavishly decorated with sculptures, swags, medallions, flowers, and shields. In time immemorial, reportedly some time during the early 2nd century, Ovbij̼sàs Se was attacked by soldiers from another nation, waging a greater campaign. The details of the conflict are hazy at best due to many conflicting accounts. What is known is Ovbij̼sàs Se lost 111 people, 236 livestock, and 88 buildings. The conflict ended after roughly 145, when members of Ovbij̼sàs Se's militia enacted an operation to locate a specific spy. The operation was complicated by extremely dangerous terrain, including unfamiliar and poisonous plants which many ate while foraging. The conflict ended with a last stand against the enemy until a particular event occurred, which ended in a crushing defeat for Ovbij̼sàs Se's forces. The war is remembered in legend by Ovbij̼sàs Se's bards, historians, and legend keepers.
